Whole of last week we prepared for the Monday’s event. The weather wasfine. However, on Sunday it rained all day it was like a cyclone had hit Suva. There was a spirit of dismay and discouragement. Everyone prayed for fine weather on Monday. Praise the Lord. Monday 25th was the most beautiful day seen in Suva.
The ceremony began with Rev Andrew Chandra, Assistant Pastor, as the MC welcoming all who came. Followed by Pastor James Chand thanking God for the good weather and committing the ceremony to God.
We sang Hymns, “How great Thou Art” and “dhanya parmeshwar shaktiman” Followed with words of encouragement by Rev Keni, The A/G Divisional Superintendent and Rev Slater A/G Missionary Representative.
Prayer of thanks giving was offered by Rev Reginald Kumar the Coordinator for the A/G Indian Ministries.
Messages received from various people from home and abroad were read by Andrew Chandra.
Following that I gave a very brief history of Kinoya A/G.
Immediately after that Annie and I poured in the first cement mix for the foundation.
There was a shout of joy and praise to God by all who were present.
We moved from the building site into the Kindergarten hall for refreshments.
I thank you for being part of Kinoya Assembly. Your continued prayers and financial support for our building project will be very much appreciated.
God Bless you, with lots of Love,
